A Brief History of the Conglomerate

The Conglomerate Government of Souvern Novarica, Incorporated is the preeminent institution of its kind: a hallmark of innovation combining the resourcing and strategy of a major corporation with the regulation and benefits of a centralized government. Home to the world’s most innovative, industrious, and productive citizens the story begins long with the former nation of Novarica at the close of a brutal civil war.

The Dissolution of Novarica recognized the two sides as sovereign nations, with the souf obligated to make reparations to the norf. The Souvern Republic was a brief attempt at establishing a rule of law in the new nation; however, the scarcity of war and the decimated economy seemed sure to swallow the fledgling nation. Were it not for a summit held in Takoda City, chaos would have surely returned. Instead, the future was born: a hybridized government-corporate structure. The nation would be led by a Board of Directors and would leverage the profits from commercial industry to subsidize governmental operations. Under the Articles of Incorporation, all corporate entities operating within the Conglomerates’s boundaries were subject to requisition under the federated umbrella.

No citizen of the Conglomerate lacks for necessities; however, most elect to exchange service for premium-tier benefits. Provided they complete the requisite education, demonstrate the appropriate aptitude, and have a record free from transgression, every citizen is eligible to serve. Whether or not they elect to serve, all citizens are free to live according to their preferences and at the level their discretionary credits allow. Both Citadel centers and Suburbs can guarantee a citizen’s access to shelter, household goods, digital link service, utilities, education, and transportation.

Adhering to the country’s founding principle of freedom, the Conglomerate acknowledges but does not support any non-citizen residents who opt to reside outside a Citadel. Non-citizens are barred from Conglomerate service and ineligible for Conglomerate benefits unless they take up residence within an incorporated zone. Non-citizens must present themselves for a complete bio-digital inspection to pass through a Gateway into any Citadel.

Together, the nation has created unrivaled growth and prosperity for all who call the Conglomerate Government of Souvern Novarica, incorporated their home and where ever citizen enjoys a quality of life unparalleled among modern nations.
